Visiting School
Carthage Elementary Welcomes Visitors To Our School.
However, since schools are a place of work and learning, certain limits
must be set for each visit. Please review the following rules for
visiting our school:

1. All visitors at CE must
report to the main office upon arrival and present a valid drivers
license which will be scanned to produce a visitors' identification
badge (Raptor). This is a new system that was installed at the end of
the 2013-2014 school year. Please take a moment to review the attached
letter from our Superintendent. The identification badge must be
worn at all times while in the school or on school grounds, and returned
to the main office before leaving the building. Guests attending
District functions that are open to the public, such as PTO events or
public gatherings are not required to register.
2.
Parents of citizens who wish to observe a classroom while in session
are required to arrange such visits in advance with the classroom
teacher/principal, so that class disruption is kept to a minimum.
3. Teachers/Staff should not be expected to take instructional/class time to discuss individual matters with visitors.
4. All visitors are required to abide by the rules for conduct on District property contained in this Code.
5. The building principal has authority over all persons in the building and school grounds.
If you have any questions, please contact the building Principal at 493-1570.
And again, Welcome to Carthage Elementary.
